Dave’s Weekly Market Update for 04/11/25
Valuable insights on the latest market price changes for eggs, butter, cheese, and cream products.
Eggs:
The eggs dropped again this week but seemingly stopped with the exception of the brown eggs. They are now back in line with the white eggs.
Butter:
Butter had dropped last Friday and climbed back up by today, thus no change. I still feel like we will trade in this narrow range for a few weeks, Then once demand subsides, it may decline some. As a note, Cabot just raised premiums on butter by .07 lb so you will see those prices higher even though the market was flat.
Cheese:
Both Block and Barrel rose this week. I again feel like the market is too high for the time of year, especially with Spring Flush here and the new factories that have opened creating more supply. Only a guess but I do not see it staying at these levels.
